The PVC labels made by PVC, it is one kind plastic. How much do you know about plastic? As we know plastic is broadly integrated into today’s lifestyle and make a major, but where does it come from? Before it used to make PVC labels, what was the first product made by it? Plastic is a material which has a high molecular weight synthetic resinas a main component, adding an appropriate additive, such as plasticizers, stabilizers, flame retardants, lubricants, coloring agents, then by molding processing it can be change into the plastic (flexible) material, or the curing crosslink rigid material. It is a product of the 20th century, since it be developed, it is increasingly widespread use in various aspects. PVC was discovered as early as 1835, but the first definite report of the polymerization of vinyl chloride did not come until about 35 years later. At that time, the material was reported to be an off-white solid that could be heated to 130 degrees C without degradation. PVC remained a laboratory curiosity for many years, probably because of its intractable nature. The polymer was inert to most chemicals and very tough (strong). These properties eventually led scientists to consider PVC for applications where durability and toughness were desirable. The first truly synthetic polymer is called Bakelite. It is a hard, dark plastic, discovered in the USA in 1909 by Leo Baekeland. Bakelite was made from phenol (carboxylic acid and formaldehyde. In 1913, German inventor Friedrich Heinrich August Klatte took out a patent on PVC. He used polymerization of vinyl chloride with sunlight. And in the Second World War, the PVC quickly replaced traditional material to insulate wiring on military ships. Compared to World War II, now PVC is used in everyday life, such asPVC labels you can see everywhere. Next time we will tall about after World War II ,the application of PVC |
