There are three main differences between the above mentioned. Appearance, feel and thread count. Thread count refers to the number of threads woven in a square inch. So, on clothing labels, that translates into a difference in design. A high thread count means a more detailed, crisp image.

Taffeta offers a medium thread count.

Damask offers a slightly reflective or shiny appearance in comparison with satin and taffeta. Damask woven labels are everywhere. They are most common in apparel because they are soft and pliable to the touch. Therefore, damask fabric labels are appropriately sewn on baby or kids wear to avoid skin scratch. Damask offers the highest thread count of the three types of clothing tags. That means they have the tightest weave and will offer the most detail for your design.

Consider the above and choose wisely, fabric labels will always add to your clothing or accessory and make people take notice. But you should think twice before you choose favorite labels.
