How to Print on Metal Labels |

Release time:2013-05-07 Source:admin Reads: | |
Printing onto metal labels can be a difficult process because of the properties of metal. As a non-porous material, metal does not take ink in the same way as paper or cloth does. Instead, printing on metal requires you to make a template and use acrylic paint. However, because you're using a template, you can print many labels quickly and efficiently. Using these tips, you can make metal labels that look professional.
Place your unprinted metal labels onto the poster board or thick cardboard and draw around the labels using the pencil. Cut out the shape。
Draw the design in pencil on the poster board or cardboard. Use the outline of the metal plate as a guideline.
Cut out the areas that will be painted. Do this as neatly as possible, because this will form the basis of your template.
Place the poster board or cardboard onto the metal label so that the cutout areas line up with the metal. Attach the back of the frame to the poster board using some tape to hold it in place.
Wait for the paint to dry and then remove the tape and the poster board or cardboard. Repeat the process with as many metal labels as you need to print. |
