A screen printed label is a vibrant and colorful product that will attract the attention your company is looking for. There are many types of labels that can be screen printed, such as: warning label, caution label, hazard label, product identification label, asset tag label, logo label, nameplate label, overlay label or a sticker label.
Using the PMS Matching System for color, it can print virtually any design a company needs. Screen printed labels are a great way to brand your product and company. With its vibrant colors a screen printed label is great for presenting a company or product’s logo design.
A screen printed label is made when ink is pushed through a screen onto a substrate. Screens are created by coating them with a photo sensitive emulsion. A film negative, which is the desired design for the label, is placed over the photo sensitive emulsion to protect it from exposure to light. The unprotected emulsion hardens while the emulsion underneath washes away and leaves behind a design. A machine pushes the ink through the design with a squeegee.
There are several different materials you can make a screen printed label out of. To name only a few, it can be made by polycarbonate, corrugated plastic, mylar, polyester, aluminum, paper, vinyl, plastic, and polypropylene.
If you are looking for the most durable material for a screen printed label, anodized aluminum is the right choice for your company. Aluminum can withstand some of the harshest weather Mother Nature can throw at it. Screen printed aluminum labels don’t fade fast when exposed to the sun, are undaunted by extreme temperatures, are resistant to chemicals and can tolerate repeated abrasions and scuffs. |
