We know that breastfeeding is one of the most important parts of the new mama and baby attachment process, and we’re always on the lookout for products that help ease that transition. The Boppy Pillow is a longtime favorite of Mothering moms looking for a nursing aid. Three of our Mothering Mavens tried out the brand new Boppy Nursing Pillow and told us all about their experiences! The three Mavens who participated in this program all had newborn babies who were under 8 weeks old when they received the Boppy Nursing Pillow with pvc labels, and all three breastfed older children. They all agreed that the number one benefit of a nursing pillow is to provide support for the new mom. A lactation consultant and newborn nurse, and mama to 2 including baby Shiloh, explained, “It is a natural tendency to lean forward and slouch your shoulders forward when nursing and positioning baby at the breast, and this can be KILLER on your back and neck muscles. I constantly have to remind myself that I need to keep my shoulders back and relaxed. Nursing pillows can help with that.” Lots of new moms need that reminder or support, especially in the early days of breastfeeding when baby is still learning to latch and mom is still getting comfortable. Mama to two including baby E, said that one of the biggest benefits of a breastfeeding pillow with pvc labels are the “support it can provide a mom who needs to nurse in an upright position.” Our Mavens were all happy to receive their Boppy Nursing Pillows with pvc labels and all noticed the same thing: how it looked! “I loved the fabric color and pattern!” Mama to 4 including baby Griffin, added that “The color/pattern is nice, it’s sturdy but still soft and squishy.” Chapsie liked the color and patterns so much that she said, “I’m totally not embarrassed to have it laying out on my couch. I liked how squishy the pillow side was, it looked very comfortable but still supportive.”Once our Mavens started using the Boppy Nursing pillow, they were pleased with how it supported them during breastfeeding. |
